As of me writing this (Sep 2026), I think about where AI started and how far it has come today, and just think what it might lead to in the future. I really hope that governments around the world begin to enact laws around ethical usage and consumption of AI.
Despite this, as much as I despise AI, it does have it's uses. Now, let me be clear. I am not saying that AI is good for everyone and everything, as AI cannot create, only regurgitate what it knows.
What I am saying is that it makes a great tool for SOME things, and as such its usage is not applicable to everyday use, as much as some would like to convince you so.
I saw an apt representation of this just the other day, where a user online (I believe it was on Twitter, shocker) was saying how much they use AI and how they don't know how anyone could get through the day without it.
What stuck with me however, was the response that someone made, comparing this behaviour to an adict (Crack adict I think, not that it's relevant,) who can't fathom that people get through the day WITHOUT doping up on cocaine every few hours.
Anyway, what im getting at here is that those who benefit from the use of AI would be strongly pushing for it, pushing that addiction onto other people.
